India’s aircraft carrier Vikramaditya (Russia’s former Admiral Gorshkov) will set off later this week from Russia’s Severodvinsk shipyard where it is currently being modernized on its first test voyage to the White Sea.
It will be manned by a mixed Russian-Indian crew, a spokeswoman for the Severodvinsk shipbuilding plant has told reporters.
The voyage will last 120 days. The vessel is to be handed over to India on December 4.
