A spokesman for the German government Steffen Seiberthas denied rumors that Israel is allegedly equipping submarines, which it buys from Germany, with nuclear warheads.
Earlier, German magazine Der Spiegel wrote that the “Dolphin” subs, which Germany sells to Israel, can carry nuclear weapons.
Mr. Seibert said that by selling submarines to Israel, Germany’s current government only follows the policy of the previous governments.
In total, Israel has ordered 6 “Dolphin” submarines to Germany. 4 of them have already been set afloat.
