Raytheon
has been awarded two U.S. Navy contracts worth $53 million for the Dual
Band Radar, the multimission air defense radar to be installed on the
USS Gerald R. Ford.
The dual band radar will replace six legacy radar systems and the advanced air defense radar will provide superior surveillance capabilities enhances the system's software to optimize power efficiency and ready the radar suite for the next phase of testing and evaluation.
