Yet Another Policy Change For India

India’s To Get New Defense Offsets Management Wing 

      India’s Ministry of Defense in August revised its defense offset policy articulating new objectives and modifying older terms to the dismay of the defense industry in the country.

      The Defense Offsets Management Wing (DOMW) will replace the existing defense offset facilitation agency (DOFA) giving the former more power to monitor and hire private agencies to audit and the implement offsets from the foreign arms vendors.

      The new agency will report to the Defence Minister-headed Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) each year about the progress of programmes.
