The United States and Saudi Arabia have presented a united front to Iran and Syria, alerting Iran's leadership that patience over its alleged nuclear ambitions is wearing thin and warning Syrian President Bashar al-Assad that they will boost support to rebels unless he steps down.
John Kerry, the US secretary of state, was in Saudi Arabia on Monday on the latest leg of a nine-nation tour through Europe and the Middle East on his first overseas trip as Washington's top diplomat

In an event that is sure to embarrass Eritrea’s long-time ruler, two pilots of that country’s armed forces fled the country on Tuesday, flying in none other than the presidential jet. According to Jazan News, on Tuesday the air force captains flew the aircraft at low altitude across the Red Sea towards Saudi airspace, and were met by two Saudi F-15 fighter jets before landing at a regional airport in the Southwestern city of Jizan.

Saudi Spending Millions on Syrian Rebels Training

Dozens of training camp running in rebels control area funded by Saudi government. These mans are train to fight President Bashar Al Assad's army.
According to media reports Syrian rebels (Free Syrian Army ) is getting all required assistance from Saudi and other middle east stats. Rebels are getting training in line of regular solider.
The operation comes with weighty foreign funding. Mostly from Saudi Arabia, tens of millions of dollars are being poured into the area to pay for weapons, training and support to FSA divisions, according to report published by Daily Telegraph.

My View: US and its middle east alliance should be careful as they have already burned their hands in Afghanistan. Afghanistan has proven more costly to US rather then Soviet Union.

I don't wish to knock shale. It is a Godsend and should be encouraged with utmost vigour and dispatch in Britain. But it is for now plugging holes in global supply rather than covering the future shortfall as the industrial revolutions of Asia mature.
